Lago Vista is situated near U.S. Route 287, a north/south road that runs through Denver and downtown Loveland. The downtown area of Loveland contains a variety of excellent restaurants and unique shops plus over 20 restored historical buildings that are part of both national and local designated historic districts.

Loveland boasts one of the largest concentrations of bronze sculptures. Benson Park Sculpture Garden next to Lake Loveland is a main local attraction. Loveland also has several nearby outdoor areas for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. These include Coyote Ridge, Bobcat Ridge, and Devil’s Backbone.
